学校非常的exam orientated ，然后又是工作orientated，总之中国特别的功利orientated.工作是生活的源泉，但不是意义的源泉。在消费主义的裹挟下，每个社会都有“体面生活”的标准，贫穷意味着被排除在正常生活以外，意味着达不到标准，导致自尊心受到打击，产生羞愧感和负罪感。
在商场里，消费者觉得自己在掌握一切，他们可以评判，评论，选择，他们可以拒绝任何一个。但是商品缺代表和定义了他们的身份。
技术改变了人们的相遇，从稀缺模式，变成了冗余模式，而且是超级冗余模式，你不得不把你认识的人贴上标签，就像是在超市里购物，人和人之间的交往越来越付钱，来来去去，如同随时可以划走的手机屏幕。
空间：space is an indicator of social status and a stage for social interaction. a high status person will try to fill the space and own the space, will try to put others in as small a space as possible. class is not fixed anymore. house purchase and decorating has become way to devlop and express identity. people with moeny and power always live in the best area, they more conscious of expressing and crating identity through house. even for company office, shows company power and status in the commercial community. imposing workspace is a resource of a company. an impression of integrity and reliability.
