China has taken a series of measures to address air pollution, including:

Reduce pollution sources: Strengthen pollution control in key industries such as industrial enterprises, power plants, and steel mills, promote the elimination of highly polluting coal-fired power plants, and promote clean energy as a substitute for traditional energy.

Strengthen vehicle exhaust control: Implement vehicle exhaust emission standards, promote clean energy vehicles, and increase efforts to eliminate old and high polluting vehicles.

Improve industrial emissions: Promote industrial enterprises to implement energy conservation and emission reduction, strengthen the treatment and emission control of pollutants such as industrial waste gas and wastewater.

Strengthen agricultural pollution control: promote scientific fertilization and pesticide use to reduce agricultural non-point source pollution.

Improve energy utilization efficiency: Strengthen energy management, promote clean energy, improve energy utilization efficiency, and reduce the use of coal and fuel.

Strengthen supervision and law enforcement: increase efforts to crack down on environmental violations, strengthen environmental monitoring and data disclosure, and improve the effectiveness of environmental law enforcement.

Strengthen international cooperation: Strengthen environmental protection cooperation with other countries and regions to jointly address cross-border air pollution issues.

Among them, the measure of improving energy utilization efficiency has a very significant effect. In recent years, the emergence of new energy has provided the possibility of reducing the use of old energy such as coal, effectively solving the important pollution source of coal and fuel oil. At the same time, due to the improvement of technological level, the utilization efficiency of coal and other energy sources has been improved, resulting in a significant reduction in exhaust gas discharged into the air.

The implementation of these measures has effectively improved the quality of China's atmospheric environment and reduced the impact of air pollution on people's health and ecological environment. However, we also need to recognize that air pollution control is a long-term and complex process that requires sustained efforts and the participation of the entire society.
